Hi Everyone!
My name is Linh Tran and I will be a senior at Baylor next year. I am majoring in Exercise Physiology Pre-PT and minoring in Business Entrepreneurship. I'm on the Baylor Track and Field team and also a member of Pi Beta Phi.
I really enjoying eating, so I'm most looking forward to trying out all the different cuisine in Turkey and Greece! I've actually traveled a lot with my family, but mainly western Europe and Asia so I'm excited to see the middle east. It's really embarrassing but every since I saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 I have been dying to go to Greece.
So that basically sums me up! I pretty much sound like a fat girl that watches TV all day, but I promise I'll be so much fun on the trip! Please be my friend! Haha.
Okay to get serious. I felt that Genesis views the world, creation, and humanity as a token of God's love like a parent bears children and cares and provides for them. A parent first creates a home for their future children; saving their money, searching for the perfect house, and being financial stable. God created heaven and earth, made light and the sky, put animals and fish on the earth. "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepth upon the earth." (Genesis 1.26). God wanted to give mankind control of everything he had created like parents leaving their possessions and treasures to their children. This view of humanity really demonstrates humans as God's beloved children and inherently good because we are made in His likeness.
Hi Linh, Thanks for posting. I also enjoyed sisterhood of the traveling pants 1 and 2. I wonder how often that and a comment on Genesis make it into the same blog post.
ReplyDeleteTurkish food is really great. My husband is very much looking forward to that aspect of the trip as well

ReplyDeleteI've also never been to the middle east, so I am excited to discover it with you and see how it is similar and different to our own American and Asian cultures.
